Yarn Review!

I know it has been a dogs age since I last did an entry. But I think I'm going to try and start up again.
I will try to do it weekly. I admit that this will most likely be a fibre arts oriented blog but that's ok!

So I'm going to start with a yarn review.
Yarn name: Rowan fine art
Contents: 45% wool, 20% mohair, 25% Polyamide, and 10% silk.
Colour way: 313 Yew

Colour is more blue than grey!

The colour on the website is much brighter than it actually is!

How did you get this in your possession?
Friend gave it to me. She isn't selling it, but got this skein and wanted someone to try it out. I love fingering weight yarn and was the most likely person to use it sooner rather than later. So good for me!

There are a few questions to ask when working with this yarn:
  1. How does it feel?
  2. How easy is it to use?
  3. Does it make you happy?
  4. How do the colours pool?
  5. Would you make something else with this?
  6. Would you pay for this?
I won't be able to complete the whole review as I have only knit with an inch as of now. I hope to update this later in the week to get a better sense of this!

As of the moment, I can say that it is soft. Nice soft!
For this yarn I have chosen to make my first pair of gloves. The thought of  having this yarn on my hands is a very exciting thought!

I will continue the review soon!
